Halloween is on a Sunday October 31st, so I am making that a MANDATORY stitch day.Try something that scares you- stitch with a Specialty Fiber such as Hand Dyed Floss, Glow in the Dark Floss, Whisper Thread, Artic Rays, Metallic Thread, Suede, Silk Thread, etc.Post a picture of your very favorite project that you have ever stitched along with note as to why it is your favorite and what it means to you.Post a before and after picture once it is framed. (Be that into a bellpull, pillow, pin cushion, wall hanging, etc.). Or completed, however it is you want to complete it. Take a piece from your "finished stitching stash" and get it framed.They are what makes my piece different and uniquely mine.) (For me it is that perfection is not the goal and that mistakes are OK, sometimes even a good thing. What is something that needlework has taught you? I believe that by participating in our challenges we can help each other to get and stay motivated to stitch. No matter how much we love stitching, it can be hard to "find the time" as sometime the chaos in life just interferes with our stitching mojo. The bad news is, they’re sprinkled throughout various blogs and websites, making them difficult to find…like elusive gnomes and unicorns I’m yet to discover. ![]() ![]() The good news is, there’s a huge assortment of free patterns available. So, let’s get inspired by these free designs and begin creating cross-stitched masterpieces! Charts & Patterns On this blog, you will only find “official and legitimate free patterns” with originating sources (of course)…whenever possible. ![]() YAY! These charts are specifically created to be copied, shared, and enjoyed by all (especially moi)! But, it’s not ok to copy, share, or distribute patterns that designers have intentionally created for sale. Some designers create and offer patterns for free use.
